Shalat (Prayer): From Quran & Hadith

Quran

Those who believe in the unseen and keep up prayer and spend out of what We have given them. (Quran, Al-Baqarah, 2:3)

And perform shalat (prayer), and give zakat and bow down (or submit yourselves with obedience to Allah) along with those who bow down (in worship). (Quran, Al-Baqarah, 2:43)

And seek assistance through patience and prayer, and most surely it is a hard thing except for the humble ones, (Quran, Al-Baqarah, 2:45)

Worship none but Allah (Alone) and be dutiful and good to parents, and to kindred, and to orphans and Al-Masakin (the poor), and speak good to people [i.e. enjoin righteousness and forbid evil, and say the truth about Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم], and perform shalat (prayer), and give zakat. (Quran, Al-Baqarah, 2:83)

And perform shaalat (prayer), and give Zakat and whatever of good (deeds that Allah loves) you send forth for yourselves before you, you shall find it with Allah. Certainly, Allah is All-Seer of what you do.  (Quran, Al-Baqarah, 2:110)

And enjoin shalat (the prayer) on your family, and be patient in offering them (shalat). We ask not of you a provision (i.e. to give Us something): We provide for you. And the good end (i.e. Paradise) is for the Muttaqun (the pious). (Quran, Al-Baqarah, 2:110)
